      Seriously, there are many ways to do things. Talking about adjustment layers adds another level of complexity to this task that a newbie doesn’t need. Adding an adjustment layer is a great way to accomplish this, but for a newbie who just wants to fix up a photo, an adjustment layer is no more correct than any other method that achieves the same result.
